I must say right away that I sharpened a knife for the first time, before that I looked at videos on YouTube. First sharpened at #1000 grit, then a little at #3000 grit. The knife does not cut a napkin / paper towel on weight, but the office sheet began to cut very well. My mistake: for a dead knife, I also had to buy a stone with a coarser grain, 250-500, in order to first remove the cutting edge, remove notches, etc. And I immediately took 1000/3000 grit. This is already for "bringing" to the sharpness. Now, probably, I will order another stone rougher.
