I mainly use an immersion blender for what is probably a fairly simple task β mixing powder with milk. But for me, this is a clear upgrade in more ways than one. With great power comes great abundance! My first real test run was a bit messy. But the second time I was better prepared and didn't spill a drop. The power also turns off very quickly with no lumps that I had to chase a bit. The included mixing cup is also a big upgrade. It's about 30 ounces to the brim, my previous one was only about 20. This one worked well with about 20 ounces and then a few scoops of powder, the blender dunked it completely and swirled the entire cup. I just drink straight out of this shaker - it might be a little awkward to do if you have small hands. Removing the flush head was a little confusing - it just releases the latches, there is no pressure to trigger release. . All you have to do is hold down the release buttons and pull the blade a little to separate it. But everything looks very solid and looks great (mine is blue). Only the mixing bowl has been in the dishwasher and has survived a couple of full cycles with a steam cycle and a dryer perfectly.
