I LOVE using them throughout my home and shop to reduce overhead lighting. For my region, the consumption of kWh per day has fallen slightly above 20 points after we became more cautious and decided to buy. Just turning off the lights has reduced our electric bill from 2400+ to 1400. After adding these lights (just walking down the hall, getting something from the kitchen, etc.) the consumption dropped back to less than 1100 in the MONTH! I've bought 3 so far and snagged a few more for the stores! ** This is just my experience and they will not replace basic lighting. They are good when you need to take something with you, walk down the hallway or go to the bathroom. Headlamps are required for some tasks. This is great when you don't need overhead lights for simple tasks**
