We have a small horse home and have purchased over 50 fly masks in the last 3+ years. I originally liked the concept of lightweight Lycra masks that minimize UV exposure, but all the others either didn't fit well, didn't leave enough room for the lashes, didn't retain their elasticity, and/or broke more easily. Roma was the next best thing. Keep in mind that counterfeits from these brands are not of the same quality. None of them fit as well or last as long. Although this style is more comfortable and less obtrusive to the horse, it is recommended that you wash them by hand or in a laundry bag in the washing machine a few times a week as dust will collect and can irritate the horse's eyes. I have found that a younger and/or playful pony or horse will pull them apart so unfortunately this is not the best choice for them. I hope this is useful information, I would like to know about career choices and alternatives "in the beginning". Happy Trails, Elizabeth
