I bought this to cook meat in a wood fired oven. It has been heated to almost 1000 degrees Fahrenheit with no problem (although not recommended). I currently use it in my Weber BBQ to add meat and veggies or when cooking paella in our wood fired paella pan. Cleaning is similar to grills, except they are cast iron, so they should be seasoned after cleaning to prevent rusting. We keep ours under a grill hood year round and I have no problem. My only criticism is that the legs come off fairly easily and the glue won't hold if heated too much - although a quick weld won't fix anything.
