Don't waste your money, buy titanium.
Not only are they not stainless steel, I broke them when I got caught on a rock. It wasn't anything crazy, it was a slow speed snag and the peddling went haywire. Luckily, getting the broken piece out of my hands wasn't difficult. Wouldn't buy again.
