A Mediocre Upgrade for your Honda:

I recently purchased the 9 Inch Touchscreen GPS Navigation Stereo for my 2015 Honda Civic and while it certainly adds some new features, overall I think it falls a bit short. First off, the wireless Carplay and Android Auto are supposed to be a game changer, but in reality there are still some bugs that need to be worked out. It's a nice idea to be able to wirelessly connect your phone, but I still found myself having to connect it with a cord half the time anyway. The GPS navigation works well enough, but there were a few times where it gave me strange directions or didn't seem to be quite as up to date as my old GPS. It's also worth noting that while the touchscreen is certainly larger than the default Honda stereo, it doesn't offer the same level of responsiveness and precision as a higher end device. On the plus side, the Bluetooth connection was strong and reliable, and I appreciated the ability to use the Wi-Fi to download apps and updates. The backup camera is also a nice addition, although it can be a bit grainy at times. Overall, while there are certainly some nice features here, I think the 9 Inch Touchscreen GPS Navigation Stereo is a bit of a mixed bag. If you're looking for a serious upgrade, you may want to consider a more premium device.

Pros
  • Versatility: The system supports a 32GB Android operating system, making it perfect for those who want to customize their user experience to their liking
Cons
  • The 32GB Android system support may not be enough for some users who prefer to store a lot of music or media files on their GPS navigation system
