Let me first say that I'm a big fan of the Zojirushi thermos. I already have 5 of these and will buy more if needed. I brag about it to everyone and convinced a few friends to buy it too. You love her too. So decanter. Doesn't keep the coffee as hot as my thermos. The lid leaks water even though it has been washed for more than a week. I just dry with a towel. Metal cladding is also water permeable. I give it a quick rinse after use and pour hot water down the sink to try to keep the coffee as warm as possible. No other water touches the outside. And it leaks with every first fill of the day. I bought this model specifically because it is made in Japan and the other model is made in China. Too bad you have to give a bad review.
