Well it's not suede but looks like the description has changed - I have black canvas. Good shoes, more "moulded" and more durable than Tom's softer shoes, look a little less casual. Strangely, my right shoe was dangling around my heel and I creaked as I walked. Wife laughed at this so much I bought a heel insert. Anyway, otherwise comfortable shoes and a little less casual than the other toms I usually buy. Easy to wash, simply remove the insole and soak in cold water with mild soap for a few minutes and air dry overnight.
