Review on πŸ’§ Clean and Crisp Water with Whirlpool WHER25 Reverse Osmosis Filtration by Jerry Forehand

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The taste of water is amazing.

I was surprised at how well this product met my expectations and then a few others. I bought this because we have heavy minerals and added fluoride to our city water supply. I've been buying reverse osmosis water from stores for years, a major inconvenience for keeping 3 and 5 gallon water jugs in the kitchen. Installation was pretty easy. Installing under the kitchen sink like I did helps: 1. Clear up the space and 2. Do a test run with everything that's in place before installing to make sure everything fits where you have it want. Two things I wasn't a fan of: drilling a hole in my drainpipe (which is required if you don't have an extra drainpipe bracket) and I didn't like the water line's plastic T-valve. Mine is brass and I didn't want to replace it with plastic so it took me a trip to the hardware store to buy a 1/2 water pipe fitting. Once installed, keep the reverse osmosis faucet running for almost 24 hours. Something they don't tell you is that when the faucet is on, you can hear the water running down the drain pipe (the pipe you drilled the hole in). It is in order. Every time you use the water from the reverse osmosis faucet, you will hear the sound of the water draining. Depending on the amount of water used from the reverse osmosis faucet, the following applies: the more water, the longer the drain noise. All of this is normal and part of sanitation. This setup takes up significantly less space than 5 five-gallon pitchers of water strewn around the kitchen, and on-demand reverse osmosis water comes in very handy. Overall, I recommend this to anyone who needs reverse osmosis water. And the water tastes fantastic.
