I know, love and use Opinel knives for more than ten years. Usually they do not stay with me, because always someone who sees my Opinel starts to admire it and I have to give it as a gift ;-) This time, in order to avoid "losing" the knife in the manner described above, I asked my mother to give me a wonderful No. 8 with an olive handle. The joy lasted exactly one week. The handle broke while cutting pastille today. It's a shame! I didn't put any pressure on him. I believe that there is a factory marriage in the handle.
