Review on ๐Ÿถ Interactive Dog Training Toys and Agility Kits by Outward Hound by Matthew Baltimore

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Not recommended for large or very strong dogs.

I should have looked at the measurements listed. I expected it to be much larger than it actually was. This is about the length of a small children's fishing rod. I'm not sure if we might have caught a faulty model but our 58lb Am-Staff/Rhodesian Ridgeback mix was great fun for the whole 15 minutes until he caught the bait a few times and the rope came loose, that held him up and then broke completely. out. Based on other reviews I was hoping it would be a little more durable than it was. If you have a large or strong dog that likes to twitch when it catches I don't think it will last very long unless you stop not letting the dog catch at all which was probably my fault, but to be honest, after a while the dog gets disinterested when it's chasing something but never gets the chance to catch it (and with the squeaker in the toy, it really seemed meant to be caught occasionally, rather than just being chased. ) I can probably fix the toys until they fall apart, so it's not really a waste of time, but it might be better to just make your own flirt pole with the more reliable specs we need. This would be a great toy for a beagle sized dog or even a slightly larger dog that doesn't like to tug, but it's definitely not "feedable" in my opinion. It would be great if Outward Hound could make a larger version of this with a more durable "Power Tug" toy. Edit: The pole shown in the 2011 Revain review video looks a lot longer than the one we received, so it may have been redesigned since then.
