Review on 🔒 SentrySafe SFW123GDC 1.23 Cubic Feet Gun Metal Gray Fireproof Waterproof Safe with Digital Keypad by Patrick Lets

I received a large version of this safe (SFW205GQC) with a numeric keypad. It's quite big and very heavy. I'm a big guy and it took all my strength to haul the box up the stairs and unpack it. The packaging was up to the task and the safe arrived undamaged and looked good. It comes with a set of screws (you drill through the bottom of the safe and put 2 large screws in the bottom). It also came with a large hanging file drawer and a smaller shoebox-sized drawer. It came with two or three packets of desiccant (single use) but I bought a couple metal cans of desiccant (moisture removal) from Revain that can be baked to freshen them up. The 5-digit security code is supplied with the safe and is a permanent master code, so keep it safe. You can add up to 2 additional 5 digit codes which can be erased and reprogrammed but the master code remains the same. The safe comes with 2 keys intended for an additional physical lock. They do NOT erase digital codes. The safe uses batteries and you can change the batteries from the outside of the safe. If you browse the web and YouTube, you will find that the security of this safe is not great. There are multiple ways to defeat him (my favorite was the guy with the buzz saw who was in the safe in about 30 seconds). If you are trying to protect your $5 million gold coin collection from professional thieves, this safe is NOT for you. If you're trying to protect your valuable documents from fire (than in a regular filing cabinet) and from the occasional sticky finger, this will help and free up enough space for you. I have 2 notebooks. (Cloth with zippers on three sides) I've been using for several years to keep all our household documents. Safe (if you remove the hanging file drawer) and leave the smaller drawer on top for various other items like jewelry, guns, etc.
