Review on Nexen Winguard Ice SUV 225/65 R17 102Q winter by Andrey Marinov ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Full compliance with the manufacturer's assurances, high quality.

Departed 3 winters on Latitude X-Ice North 2+. All spikes flew out. And there was nothing to drift though on packed snow. When choosing a spike, I dismissed it immediately. Almost all winter I go around the city. Why studs on asphalt? Thought I could drive season 4 on studded tires. The protector then remained sufficient. There were no drifts and other dangerous situations. There is enough snow in the Urals. I tried to slow down on SUV classmates with Velcro. Pretty much the same braking. That's just on any surface, my studs at the end of braking slide under the chirp of ABS. Velcro noticeably stand up as a stake. I searched in the internet for similar tests (without spikes vs Velcro) and did not find it. In short, I changed my shoes right after the new year, in the middle of winter. So there is some experience to focus on. This tire is by far the best in every way. I think 20 percent, at least. Moreover, after the holidays, I managed to run into a discount and buy shoes for 4150s. for size 225/60 R17

Pros
  • Bought what I expected from a friction tire. Predictable drift (this is when the speed is too much, you know) Confident braking. Especially at the end. Acoustic comfort in the cabin. It got much quieter.
Cons
  • Yes, there is practically nothing to complain about. On the ice, of course, you need to be more careful.
