Heavy duty springs. The anchors look like they are covered with something to prevent corrosion and they are fine. I have a question about belts. They seem easy. And about 4 inches from the end there is a latch in the strap. There is no link to the Snap in the instructions. When removing the strap from the carrying case, the clasp fell out of the strap leaving a hole in the strap. This hole creates a weak point that can lead to belt failure. I would not have bought this set if I had seen the strap before buying it. I understand why 90% of RV owners use ratchet slings bought at flea markets. I plan on getting a pair myself.
