I gave up paper towel rolls for use in the kitchen during Covid because we have been washing our hands more often and have therefore switched to cloth kitchen towels and paper towels to clean our hands and not just dishes dry . Rolled paper towels weren't on store shelves, so I thought I'd try C- and Z-fold towels. They were a lot cheaper than paper towel rolls and were perfect for drying my hands. They were about as soft as paper towels and I've even used them in the microwave for bacon and they worked just fine. I highly recommend them and now use them in our bathrooms instead of towels. This is more hygienic than using cloth towels! Away with the microbes!
