I bought this chair to replace the office chair that I use every day and have used for many years. I've heard good things about the xchair and for $1400 I was expecting a lot. The X3 didn't do many things. It was pretty easy to put together. Seat adjusters are not as advertised and feel cheap. The back brace has 4 positions which ideally should place the lumbar support in the lower back, however this is not the case. For me 5ft 6in or my husband 6ft 0in. The backrest adjustment is so free that it changes its position with the slightest wobble. Do you know how frustrating it is to have your chair knocked over every 20 minutes? I would return this chair if it was $200 let alone $1400. Eventually we went with the headrest which was a mistake. The support is only height adjustable and forces the head into an uncomfortable forward position. I will be working with their customer service team on a refund next Monday. I hope they are doing the right thing. In hindsight I realized that they often throw a 30% restocking fee in your face if you ask questions and buy. Could my experience have happened so many times that they needed this strategy in their sales process? The bottom line is, don't buy a chair if you're not going to sit in it. In my opinion, Xchair is marketing promotion, not comfort.
