Very bad design

Do not buy this chair, it is very bad. a neck instead of a head, and a month later spring crunches when you sit back. Garbage!

I love this chair - Home Office Furniture

I don't usually write reviews but I really like this chair. I was in for a bit of a sticker shock but after assembling the chair in 10 minutes and then figuring out how to customize everything. The price is worth it. I studied Herman Miller and others for a week before settling on this one. Highly recommended.

Great for me: home office chairs

I bought an X3 with a foam seat but no headrest for my home office about 9 months ago. I know from experience that chairs and sofas work best when you can sit on them for a while. This is not always possible these days. I use the chair for maybe 3 hours and it's comfortable and the memory foam seat was a good choice. A few months later, I unexpectedly received a box of five blades from XChair. Doesn't matter. I approach the printer slightly. Works great for me and exceeded my expectations.

Nice chair by design, everything else is a mess

Pros: Well designed, comfortable, easy to recline, strong and well built. There is an obvious difference between this and the $300 chair, despite what some other reviewers claim. Cons: The aluminum base arrived with scratches and dents, the chair began to squeak loudly after about 10 days, the headrest upholstery is noticeably warped. based on the issues i had with the box but the chair is comfortable and i would definitely keep it. Please note that I left a similar review on the x-chair…

Do not buy if you don't need excessive lumbar support

I'm 17 years old, my back is fine, I don't need lumbar support. For that reason I expected it to be great considering the lumbar support needs to be "dynamic" and move with you. It certainly made it, but it's so strong that it hurt my back after sitting in it for 30 minutes. Do you know how poorly constructed a chair must be to give a 17 year old who has never had back problems back pain? I sat on wooden dining room chairs. Cheap office chairs. All-plastic deckchairs. Solid wood chairs with a…

Don't buy it without sitting in it

I bought this chair to replace the office chair that I use every day and have used for many years. I've heard good things about the xchair and for $1400 I was expecting a lot. The X3 didn't do many things. It was pretty easy to put together. Seat adjusters are not as advertised and feel cheap. The back brace has 4 positions which ideally should place the lumbar support in the lower back, however this is not the case. For me 5ft 6in or my husband 6ft 0in. The backrest adjustment is so free that…

It's not like this. Irresponsible design. The search continues...

I think I was drawn to the marketing that you can find all over the internet. That's probably why you're here reading this. I had no issues with quality control and decent support from the manufacturer. However, the basic construction is completely wrong. Sure, there's plenty of lumbar support, but no chest support. Compare the design to something like the Herman Miller Mirra. To be honest I haven't tried this chair but I read his design paper. That made me understand the fatal flaw of this…
