First off, I think it's pretty dubious that Logitech somehow managed to bury the C922 reviews under the C920 reviews. These are very different cameras that are worth considering separately. I suspect Logitech did this on purpose to capitalize on the 920's excellent reviews and to cover up the 922's obvious problems. This is a ruthless sales tactic. My Rating of the C922x PRO STREAM: GOOD: Video quality is a slight improvement over the excellent C920. Low-light performance is better and the image is clearer overall. It has really fantastic picture quality. It offers two major upgrades: the ability to record at 60fps (720p only) and the presence of "background replacement technology" (more on both below). 1080r. It seems possible to get decent results at 60fps in ideal lighting and conditions, so your mileage may vary. I'm not a video professional, but I've had enough experience in the field to decide that if 60fps is your only reason for buying it, then this camera isn't worth upgrading. However, the 1080p quality is excellent, even at 30 fps. The microphone is just as bad as the c920. This is totally inappropriate. Any $10 USB mic outperforms the recording quality of this mic by light years. I would expect this level of performance from a $20 budget webcam, but not at this price point. Seriously, if you literally have no other options, don't use the built-in microphone. "Background replacement technology" is a bit of a gimmick. Given the right conditions (again, near-perfect lighting), this might work for some people. It doesn't look quite as accurate as a real green screen, but it might do the trick if you get the lighting right. The main problem I have is that this has nothing to do with the camera. Everything happens programmatically. You need to download and install a fairly large third-party ChromaCam app from Personify. I can only assume that Logitech has some sort of kickback deal with Personify to use their 'technology', but I feel like Logitech fooled me into seeing that this software might be compatible with many others Cameras could be used if they weren't blocked by the company. They pretended it was some kind of revolutionary hardware technology that only Logitech could offer. I really don't like installing unnecessary software from an unknown company. The most annoying thing is that YOU HAVE TO PROVIDE YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS AND LOGIN TO USE THE BACKGROUND REMOVAL FEATURE. I'm not joking. Completely unacceptable. Shame on you, Logitech. REALLY BAD: Logitech doesn't offer any software for this device. That's right, the Logitech webcam software that millions of people have used for years with every other Logitech webcam (including the c920) doesn't work with this camera and doesn't offer an alternative. They just give you the drivers and then you can find a third party app yourself to actually use the camera. That's absurd. I can't think of any possible reason why they shouldn't provide a simple app so you can use whatever device you just paid for. Especially given how heavily they advertise background technology. So I didn't install TWO third party apps to use this camera. What? One more thing, you can't just hook up 2 of these cameras to the same PC without a lot of constant tweaking. OBS, xSplit and other applications see both cameras, but to adjust the settings you have to disconnect them individually and change the settings when you reconnect. rarely the same. This didn't affect my review of this device as Logitech never explicitly advertised this functionality, but I think it's worth mentioning in my review.
