c922 vs Razer Stargazer video samples

Great webcam. absolutely easy to set up and captures bright, clear video with exceptional detail. This makes the images brighter than the actual light in the room, but the end result looks great. I've attached an example video comparing the Logitech c922 to the Razer Stargazer. Please leave comments about your experience based on the video examples.

Great but read this when using with OBS

This is a very good camera. I would give it 5 stars but I haven't had it that long so am testing it fully so I can change it in the future. One VERY important thing to know about this camera is that when using it with OBS, especially Mac, if you get a poor quality picture, go to the camera's "Properties" in OBS and disable it have to. "Use presets" field. Then set the frame rate and resolution. I spent hours trying to figure this out so I thought I'd pass it on. This camera can be mounted on a…

Blurry image and shaky focus

I bought this webcam hoping it would capture clear video. But I was wrong, very wrong. I uploaded a picture and a video captured by the camera. The video is played at 30 frames per second in HD format. You can see that the still image is barely legible, while the autofocus wobbles in the video. I had to disable autofocus to prevent this. I have enough light to cover the area so that's not a problem. I guess a webcam just isn't designed for that kind of overhead. A similar video captured with my

Terrible support from Logitech

As of December 2017 this webcam will NOT work with the Logitech Webcam Software. Their website has a driver that you install, but it's up to you to write the software. I agree, but their driver doesn't allow full control over the webcam like it used to when I used the Logitech webcam software with my latest webcam. I've tried emailing the Logictech support team and their support is terrible. Even in times of outsourcing, this support reaches a new level. Your only option is to email them…

Don't let the 60 fps fool you

This review is for the Logitech C922. This is none other than the more expensive C920. The ability to run 60fps at 720p is rubbish. Setting the frame rate above 30 will blur the image very noticeably. When trying to find a solution, all I could find was that this is normal. As long as you don't use frame rates above 30, the image quality is quite pleasing. I think it's slightly better than the C920 (I use both). But the only reason I bought it over another C920 was to have a 60fps camera and it

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Some cons

To be honest this camera was inferior to the regular c920 I already had. It does 1080p at 30fps, does NOT do 1080p at 60 as even the Logitech website states it doesn't, and 720 at 60fps is so fuzzy and fuzzy that it doesn't even come close to 720p. This camera as a whole is a c920 with firmware tricks to trick people into thinking it's better. My 6 year old phone still records better than this camera in medium to low light and in my honest opinion gleaned from a streamer/youtuber etc this…

Logitech = Ikea? for computers and accessories

NO INSTRUCTIONS. As with Ikea furniture, Logitech wants you to do everything for them. Came in bubble wrap, the box was torn when opened. It was shipped from Logitech with damaged packaging. The software does not work as I expected for Twitch. At least three (3)! Applications must be downloaded to be ready to use. There are absolutely NO instructions or instructions in the box. this. Go to this site. Download this software x3. Which didn't work for me after trying repeatedly and searching the…

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Some problems

First off, I think it's pretty dubious that Logitech somehow managed to bury the C922 reviews under the C920 reviews. These are very different cameras that are worth considering separately. I suspect Logitech did this on purpose to capitalize on the 920's excellent reviews and to cover up the 922's obvious problems. This is a ruthless sales tactic. My Rating of the C922x PRO STREAM: GOOD: Video quality is a slight improvement over the excellent C920. Low-light performance is better and the…
