Review on Xiaomi Redmi 9 EU 📱 Sunset Purple Smartphone, 4GB RAM, 64GB ROM by John Taylor

This phone offers amazing value for money. Great screen, good camera, with serviceable clear body and screen protector over gorilla glass, carrier unlocked, dual sim and microSD slot, incredible battery life. I'm not giving 5 stars because: 1. Miui (the modified version of Android 10 that comes on the phone) contains a lot of malware that simply needs to be removed with XAFT or manually with ADB. Takes 5 minutes if you already know how to use ADB. Casual users who don't unlock may be dissatisfied with the overall experience.2. Miui doesn't seem to work well with custom storage; It is hidden by default and seems to prevent OTA updates. With 64GB of RAM, I don't *need* any special storage, but in a way it makes things easier. As soon as the phone moves to Miui 12 and Android 11, I will probably try the implementation.3. I'd be happier with a vanilla Android (AOSP) than a Miui flavor, but unlocking and a third-party launcher keep my annoyance to a minimum. Please note that this is an international phone and does not support 100% of all your frequencies. an aircraft carrier can turn back; Do your homework before you buy and complain. Also keep in mind that it won't have a US plug - it's a regular USB-C cable, so just use whatever adapters you have.
