Review on 🔋 CTEK (56-380) Comfort Indicator Panel M8 for Top Terminal Batteries by Nathan Ortiz

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Simple, convenient connection. The status LED is not accurate.

I have a 1986 Toyota with square bezels that match this Ctek dash like it was made for it! I pretty much bought this product because another reviewer said it would fit his car so I just assumed it would fit mine too! I'm one of those people who love a nice clean factory configuration, it makes me really happy! Of course, the convenience of connecting the charger from the driver's side through the window is great! It's definitely better than opening the hood and hooking in clips. Now for the cons. Yes, the length of the wire is damn short! 5 meters is not enough! I have a small car and had to add another foot and a half for the wires to run properly. If your battery is close to the firewall, you might be in luck as it's much closer. LED turn signals are a good idea, but they are very sensitive to any kind of battery voltage when your car is off. For example, I fully charged the battery overnight. My indicator blinked green. I drove my car to work 7 miles with the headlights on, parked the car, turned off the headlights and the light flashed RED for 5 seconds then flashed amber! I sat and watched the light and waited for the indicator to turn green again, but no dice! Of course my battery is at least 5 years old now so I think that might be the problem. However, the "amber light" is not an accurate real-time readout as I know I had just charged my battery for 24 hours the night before. I think this feature will drive me crazy! i see it now I will ignore the blinking amber light because I "think" my battery is fine, and when it starts blinking red it will be too late! I'll probably be monitoring the LEDs more this week to see if anything changes. Other than that, the clean install and easy connection makes it a great addition to your Ctek charger!
