Valuable purchase, nothing but pluses!
I've been thinking about getting a reverse osmosis filter for a long time. Prior to that, they used a jug for cooking and bought bottled water for tea and other drinks. Compared to bottled water, filtered water is closer in taste to distilled water and much tastier than jug water. I chose a filter between two brands: Atoll and Aquaphor. When compared with Aquaphor filters, the filter design itself is practically the same, the only difference is in the filter elements. I chose Atoll because of the American filmtec membrane.
- Reliable, cleans water well, has a large tank. Enough for a family of 4.
- Replacing filters is more complicated than modern models. At each replacement, it is necessary to disinfect the flasks and the tank with bleach or some other antibacterial agent.
