Review on ViewHD Input Outputs 1080P Splitter by Chris Russell

Model: UHD1X4SA The build quality of this unit is amazing. The main reason I bought this unit was to get Dolby Vision and send it to my TLC R617 TV (TV with ARC, NOT eARC) via HDMI Out #1 and uncompressed audio like Dolby True-HD and DTS HD -Master to send via HDMI. Output #2 to my old Onkyo that doesn't support 4K passthrough and the inputs are HDMI 1.4. At first I got HDR and Dolby TrueHD, but after a lot of effort I managed to get Dolby Vision to work and Dolby True-HD was sent to my receiver. . The problem is that I had too many audio dropouts and sometimes it took a while for the image to appear on the screen or for the audio to be sent to the receiver. It was very inconsistent and you are paying for something you expect to work as expected. It worked but not as expected. The customer service was fantastic, they tried to fix my problem but I believe the problems with this device can be fixed with a firmware update but there was nothing on the webpage. I mentioned this to the support team and they said nothing. I ended up sending the device back.
