I replaced the bottom brackets on my 2003 Nissan Xterra 2WD. They fit great when I'm not using race. I asked a pro and he suggested I ditch the old race unless I found metal filings of any kind in the old grease or saw nicks or ridges in the old race. I didn't see any damage or potholes so I left the old ones. Also, extracting old races and inserting new ones is very troublesome, and easy to damage things without care. After 5000 miles these bearings are still working. It should be noted that at the same time I also replaced the outer bearings with national LM300849 bearings. It's great too. And finally, just grab them with your own hands. no fancy tools required.
