I really like these mittens. They keep my hands warm in the cold, even in sleet. The shell kept moisture out and the insulation kept my hands from sweating. In fact, when I took them off, I noticed that my hands were sweaty. Still, my hands didn't get cold like other gloves or mittens where sweat cools off quickly. My only complaints are this: Fingers go. I have to move my hand and fingers a bit to get things to fit properly. 2) There are elastic drawstrings on the cuffs that are just too long. These can be seen in the product photos. They stretch 4-5 inches even when the cuffs are fully open. As a result, these threads, tight or loose, are attached to almost everything you can think of: doorknobs, operating a snow plow when clearing a blockage, tools when pulling a shovel, the shifter on my truck. All. They must be designed so that when the cuffs are fully stretched, the straps are fully retracted. Instead, they're like little lassos that want to hold on to whatever is around. Plus, the hinges won't snap off, so there's no risk of snagging on something that could rip off your gloved hand. I can imagine someone getting stuck on a winch or other treadmill and only needing a glove to do it. Otherwise the gloves work great. The problem with the loop could easily be solved by shortening its free end and reattaching it with a tear-off clip. I had to deduct a star for this as there is no reason for it. The problem with the liner is the product with removable liner. In fact, there was no way to stop him from moving and still allow him to be removed from the gauntlet. I'm not deducting a star for that.
