Fujinon XC15-45mm F3.5-5.6 OIS PZ Lens - Black I have this lens in addition to a pair of light primes (18mm ) 2.0 and 23mm F2.0) that I use when shooting with the Fuji X-E3. I did some preliminary comparisons with the much larger XF 16-55mm professional lens (which I currently use with the X-H1) and shot at F5.6 in good light. While this is an unfair and unscientific comparison, this smaller lens performed reasonably well. (Can you tell which was taken with which lens and body in the examples below? If not, you'll probably be very happy with that for most purposes.) It's quite sharp, focuses quickly, has good color reproduction, at Wide-angle shots, however, tend to have barrel-shaped distortion. That's around 23-69mm (full-frame equivalent) compared to 24-85mm (equivalent) on the larger XF 16-55 F2.8. For serious landscape and architecture photography the XF 16-55 will still be my go-to lens, but for light travel and more discreet street photography it's a great match for the X-E3. Another option is the capable XF 18-55 F2.8-4.0, which is much larger, not as wide, and more than twice the price. As for the XC lens, the 15-45mm's build quality and lack of controls falls short of XF standards. I'd be willing to pay a little more for a metal mount and better build quality, but overall this little lens performs well and is a good choice if you're looking for a lighter kit.
