It's nice to have a tilted, and raised, ceramic bowl for the cats. It's not as tall as I had maybe hoped, for our larger male cat, for whom we still put this on a platform and he still has to bend down. It seems a little short even for our small cat, but so far she has stopped throwing up, and has no cat acne, like she used to get from metal and plastic bowls. It seems sturdy enough, and easy to wash out, although water sometimes gets into the two holes in the bottom, and over many years I can forsee potential trouble, as that interior space will not be cleanable.
