Considering the price, you can't go wrong here. I wash my hair 2 times a week so I use it in the shower 5 days a week and it keeps my hair dry pretty well. I should mention that I am a very petite person (less than 5ft and about 85lbs) and this cap is a little big for me and not very snug fitting. However, my hair stays dry when I shower. The only issue for me is that the front falls too far on my forehead, but that's probably because it just doesn't fit very snugly on my small head. The lid itself is well made and serves its purpose. Note: I don't stand directly in the shower and let the rain fall on my head, so I can't comment on how well it works if you choose to shower that way. I let the water hit my face by throwing my head back, and then I usually try to keep my head out of the direct stream of water.
