Received the moisture meter in October and it worked fine until the 30th of December when I brewed 2 batches of beers and put them in the dryer after washing. I had the weighted side down and my cooker was shaking it when I took it out of the dryer and some of the scales came off where it meets the bulbous end. Pretty sloppy on my part, that might not be a flaw in the product but it would be good to be more cautious if you don't want to buy more. Regarding the metrics, I use brewology101.com to create my recipes and this calculates the starting and ending densities based on the ingredients selected. The hydrometer was accurate every time I used it.
