These "72" elastic cords are actually 66.5" long. I don't know what the manufacturer uses to measure, but I guarantee it's far from it. Maybe they didn't expect someone to actually measure the length and figured they could save a little extra line to increase their profits.I don't know.Measuring is exactly what I did after trying to use the first one. It barely extends to the 6ft 4" (76") I needed. When I measured the cable I found out why. Avoid them unless you're looking for a 5th .5 foot cable!
