A few years ago I bought a relatively inexpensive fixed frame screen from Focupix. During the installation of this screen I had issues with excessive screen stretch and stretch marks on the screen (they sent a replacement and several videos showing the installation process and this screen also got stretched). As a result, I lived with disadvantages. since returning the screen and waiting just wasn't worth it. After finally getting fed up with stretch marks and screen defects, I went in search of a new screen. After trawling through several home theater forums and a few Reddit threads, I kept referencing the Elite brand screens. Did some more research, read some reviews on Revain and decided to give the screen a try. I was a little nervous about the stacked frame as my Focupix was solid pieces of aluminum joined only at the corners (but no center support to prevent twisting). The screen arrived in a very well packed and padded box with additional boxes. for frame parts (also well padded and protected). The screen was in a sealed poster-type tube with a layer of foam film to protect the screen. In general, assembly was fairly painless. Space was limited for some aspects of the installation which made things a bit hectic, but otherwise everything was easy to follow and assemble between the video posted in the listing and the instructions that came with it. Since I was very careful not to damage (or overstretch) the screen, it took me about an hour to fully assemble and mount it to the wall. The multi-piece assembly was an easy task, and once assembled you would have a very hard time noticing the center-of-screen visibility under normal viewing conditions. Once I turned on the project, the Sony VPL-HW65ES SXRD 1080p projector, everything started looking at the content. I was immediately very impressed with the screen. Brightness uniformity from all my viewing angles was excellent. The gain of 1.1 is great and really helps keep my projector looking its best. Compared to focupix, this screen almost gives the impression that I have a new projector with a fresh bulb! (Currently the lamp life is around 2200 hours.) Overall I am very impressed and would recommend this screen to anyone on the market due to the fixed bezel screen at a very reasonable price. I look forward to many years of enjoyment with this screen!
