I don't know how the formula differs between Scratch X and X 2.0, but I did not receive version 2.0 through the Parts Universe seller. However, I got the results I wanted by painting over a scratch on a car and doing a final polish with this product. It works really well and has an abrasive compound. If you use it too hard, you can remove too much color. I wouldn't use it to polish swirl marks, they make a separate product called Swirl XI which I find to be a little less abrasive than this. I also tried this product on clear coat scratches and it did an excellent job of removing them.
