Do you need ease of use and a fast interface? Trust me, this tracker will frustrate you. The web interface and the app are both slow as molasses and also confusing. And that from an IT specialist with a quarter of a century of experience! I'm not complaining (too much) though because their fees are very reasonable. The default service built into the price of the tracker updates your location every 3 minutes. This should be fine for most people, but if you want to upgrade to faster updates, they're available at nominal update prices (I upgraded to 60-second updates). What is unforgivable is the slow refresh rate (UI) and interface navigation in general. Refreshing the screen takes a long time. This is probably related to the backend database as this issue affects both the mobile app and the web interface. The roots of software fleet management are visible in the interface. Dude, all I wanna do is GPS track this damn thing. When I log in, show me the map with my car. Is it too much to ask? But no, you have to log in, search for a ride in a confusing menu, and then decide whether you want to track by ride or by day. Serious? Just give me a map with the current location. After a few months of ownership I'm still trying to figure out where the heck the location options are. I can afford to be critical because I have three other trackers from different vendors. I have an AmericaLoc tracker (another popular tracker on Revain that is overpriced due to high fees and a mediocre interface that looks like it was designed by my grandmother in the early 90's). I also have an Amcrest tracker which has the absolute best user interface but extremely high monthly fees ($20/month for 60 second updates - get it or not). Let's face it, this device isn't just a GPS tracker, it can also track fuel levels and usage, battery voltage, and driver behavior, but most of us don't really need that. Finally, their integration with the social interface is all-encompassing, messing up what should be a minimal interface. C'mon VYNCS, can I just turn this off with "X" on the web and in my app? I don't care what my neighbors and friends are doing and I don't want to communicate with them using a GPS tracker. I have a regular Facebook for that. All in all, if you want basic tracking and want to save money, this tracker is for you. However, if you need regular updates and want to see where your car is in real time, don't worry. You end up getting what you pay for. I personally use the following, they have a great device with fantastic customer service and I highly recommend it: On trolling seller comments I lowered my rating from three stars to two and deleted my account. It cost me a hundred dollars, but I won't deal with sellers who try to discredit their users just because they don't leave positive feedback. The seller cannot complain, I used the device correctly and in a supported country. Edit - 09/18/2018: I downgraded my rating to one star due to direct harassment from this company just for agreeing with a reviewer in a comment about their customer service. Edit: 7/18/2020: Updated recommended tracker link to 4G version. Their services made them look even worse and they decided to remove them entirely. They accused me of being a paid competitor reviewer even though my Revain account is 25 years old. In any case, I advise everyone to avoid this company.
