Review on Seagate ST8000NE001 8TB HDD by Stanisaw Lem ᠌

I took it to expand my home NAS. It is the top one in the box, which is probably why its temperature is the highest of the four disks. Regarding the price, of course, one could buy a less expensive drive, but it would definitely be noisier, and this is one of the main selection criteria. I had to put up with the high price. I didn’t measure the speed, and it’s definitely the fastest in my NAS, there are old and rather slow drives. As for reliability, I can’t say anything yet - it works too little time. In general, the purchase is satisfied.
