I have a lot of tanks at home. I first bought a set of 6 so I could place them in different tanks around the house in combination with my thermostats and control the different heating elements in my tanks. So far I've been very impressed with them. So much so that I bought a second set of 6. I use them in all my reptile tanks and also in my axolotl tank. I don't seem to have any issues or performance differences between dry and wetter aquariums, they seem to work well in both aquariums and very hot and dry aquariums. I had a problem with one in my aquarium. first pack of 6 pieces. It looks like the part holding the battery wasn't straight or held the way it should have been. I bent it a bit and when I put it back on everything was fine. The suction cups work well no matter where I put them, they didn't fall off. The only exception was when I attached a suction cup to the outside of a plastic container and it fell off once.
