From day one, there were performance problems and small problems. I've even upgraded to an SSD, but I'm still not thrilled with the performance for simple things (I'm not a big PC gamer). I reinstalled 8.1 Pro and then upgraded to 10. It got a little better, but now I can see the screen detaching from the lid just above the camera. I have never dropped or scolded this laptop. I honestly don't even use it much so it's definitely a manufacturer fault but luckily for me the warranty expired 3 months ago :) I won't buy another Lenovo. updated 10/30/18. Display on both sides. That explains all the crackling noises the thing has been making since I've had it. Just do a search for Lenovo's hinge issue and you'll see that it's a known defect (especially on the y50). Lenovo was aware of this issue and did nothing to fix it. I will never buy anything from Lenovo or Motorolla as they are now owned by them.
