Ultimately, it didn't fit my truck, even though Revain (and even Rock Auto) said it shouldn't. At the same time it seems such a high quality item that I'm a little frustrated at how much more substantial it seems than the real thing! I'm giving four stars because basically it's not due to the advertised product being suitable for my car. Incidentally, the correct part turned out to be Motorcraft # FC-935, which attached the gas cap with screw threads. In comparison, FC-1004 is designed for 1/8 turn filler. See the attached image for a comparison of the FC-1004's working end (black, left) to my standard non-lock cap (white, right). I have also included a picture of where the cover for my truck is located. Unfortunately, this is a type of arrangement that is not suitable for the FC-1004. I hope this helps you find the right cap!
