Just cut my first batch of cherries with this. It was easy and quick. Did a very good job. Much better than the much fancier Leifheit, which I also own and have been using for years. Leifhiet is about 75% stoned and squirts juice everywhere. To prevent this I have to put it in the sink and sometimes the cherries get stuck in the pitting mechanism. This one has about 99% speed and the ones he fools around with have a pit taped to the outside of the cherry for you to see. It takes quite a bit of strength. I half close it and then I hit it with my fist. But it does its job! Much less disappointing than Leifheit. And, bonus, a lot easier to clean. Leifheit must be dismantled. Not this one. Manufactured for easy cleaning.
