They were thicker than I expected. They're industrial quality, durable, have taped seams, and are easy to close (the click also helps ensure the bag is properly sealed). Also, at the top of the bag, one side is slightly higher than the other. This makes it very easy to undo if you need to undo a seam; No need to try to separate the top pieces with your fingernail. This isn't your skinny sandwich bag thickness. If you want something smoother use a 2ml thickness. I originally wanted something thinner but now that I'm using the 4ml thickness I prefer the firmer feel of this bag. Great product, great price.
