The gloves are nice and warm and definitely work well in the 50 degree water I've been diving in. There are several reasons why they can only get 4 stars. First, make sure you order at least one size larger than you think. These are "semi-dry" gloves and therefore have a very dense inner lining (to keep water exchange to a minimum). I usually wear big gloves but they've gotten really big and while they fit well I can't go any smaller. Second, it's almost impossible to put mine on with wet hands or wet gloves. In other words, if you do multiple dives and take them off between dives, it's very difficult to put them back on without the liner buckling and getting in the way. Finally, for those worried about dexterity with a claw mitt when I'm in the water, this isn't an issue. However, I have to admit that it is difficult to pack all the gear with gloves on. I resorted to getting everything on and ready to go in the water and THEN as a last step basically putting on gloves. Overall good gloves and great for warmth in 50 degree water.
