Review on Wii U Xenoblade Chronicles X - Special Edition by Bryan Finken

My 2015 GOTY.: Games

I've been waiting for this game for so long and I'm 100% impressed; Xenoblade Chronicles X takes all the charm and magic of the original game and smacks you in the face with this gigantic world, tons of content and HUGE MECH. You don't have to play the original Xenoblade to find out, although you won't notice a few small details and should learn the game mechanics; All of this can be accomplished with the extensive in-game manual, which does a VERY good job of teaching you things that the game alone doesn't know. As for the Special Edition, it's great. The art card looks so cool, the special edition alternate box art on the game box is amazing, the art book is beautiful and that USB. Oh man. In case you didn't know, the Special Edition includes this unique 800MB WRITABLE USB stick based on the Lifehold theme, containing 10 songs from the game's OST. The problem is that it is locked and encrypted by this stupid DRM executable. As it stands, it has bugs and causes some issues that you will notice in the future. Regardless, Xenoblade Chronicles X is a must-read for any Wii U owner. Play the real GOTY of 2015.
