Review on Touchscreen Navigation Protector Anti Scratch Resistant by Marc Tufa

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great product for the price! (Or: Look, Ma! No bubbles!)

Bought because I noticed how close things get to the screen when I reach out to put things in the passenger seat or footwell. I also read on one of the forums that someone broke the screen by hitting it with the phone when reaching down to put it in the stand. Since EVERYTHING is controlled from the center console, I figured that little extra security was worth it. Cleanliness is required as I usually have little to no issues with glare. The fit is near perfect, the corners are slightly more rounded than the screen, and there's room for footprints at the bottom of the screen. Doesn't match the slight curve at the bottom of the screen perfectly, but it's not noticeable unless you're looking for it. The side dimensions are perfect. This will be a little off the screen as the screen sits perfectly flush with the bezel. I like that the edges of the tread are slightly rounded. The clarity is perfect. There are no problems with the touchscreen at all. Obviously there's no glare reduction as it's not matte, but that's not what I bought it for. No problem wearing polarized sunglasses. Can't comment on strength or durability as I just installed it, but if it's like many phone screen protectors there shouldn't be a problem. 4 sets of "installation materials" including an alcohol wipe, a lint-free cloth and dust stickers. The screen protector itself has an adhesive backing on the back that you peel off before sticking it to the screen, but nothing on the front (which I don't think is necessary given its hardness and glass). I was able to install it with no problems, no dust that I could see underneath. I put the screen cleaning mode on, used the passenger seat light to shine on the screen to see residual dust better, and used my own screen cleaning spray (any eyeglass cleaning spray) and a microfiber cloth. I also used the "hinge method" with masking tape to secure the top edge once I aligned it with the screen. After cleaning the screen, I found the static electricity from the plastic cover continued to attract dust - I'm not sure if wiping the back of the screen would help or add more static. Anyway, I picked it up, removed the back cover, checked the screen again for dust, and then slowly lowered it back onto the screen. I suggest clicking on the middle of the screen to start sticking (it kind of sticks by itself) and then clicking from there so bubbles don't appear. I didn't have them. Overall I am very happy with the product (especially since I was able to install it without dust!) and for now I will buy it again if I ever need a replacement and I will recommend this product to my friends (if they use it in To consider). necessary).
