Very good universal remote control. I've owned a URC R50 twice, which is essentially identical to the MX-450. The only real differences are the fact that you can download your configuration to the PC once setup is complete (which you can't do on the R50) and pressing the buttons requires a bit more force and there's an audible click as opposed to the buttons . 50 R. On-screen graphics are also slightly better, and the color scheme on the remote itself is all black. Yes, it also controls some types of lighting, but I haven't tested its capabilities in this regard. The remote comes pre-programmed with codes from almost every manufacturer, so you're unlikely to find anything that doesn't work. I prefer to learn commands from the original remote to place custom buttons in the right place on the screen. they are predefined when built-in codes are used. However, I've found that a lot of new AV hardware, like my new LG OLED and even my old Xfinity remote, can't be learned, leaving me stuck with built-in codes and their predefined button layouts. It doesn't break the deal, but it's a little annoying. For example, in the Xfinity remote code I'm using, the Page Down button is located above the Page Up button for some stupid reason, and this orientation cannot be changed. At least you can hide buttons that you don't need or don't use. I don't think this is an issue with the mx-450 as such, not with the original remotes, or with anything other than simple IR signals. Fortunately, everything can be learned except for these two remote controls. The ability to program macros (multiple sequential commands) onto existing buttons makes this remote really handy. These remote controls last a long time. I still have two original R50s. Both still work well, but they've worn a bit, so over time I've replaced them. One is about ten years old. Their prices are a bit ridiculous. While still a great deal and lower than MSRP, both R50's I bought were under $65 and this one cost me $200. A few remaining R50s are also sold for $200 so I went with this one. After a few false starts, I was able to upload my program to some software I found online. I haven't tested the download yet but hopefully if I get another one in the future I can just download the program as it takes forever to program my 8 components the way I want. You can program 8 components in about 5 minutes using just the internal codes but as I said I want to set up as much as possible so I'm trying to learn everything on older remotes which takes a lot of time. In summary, this remote is a very old design that still works great and doesn't look old at all. Most manufacturers other than Harmony have gone out of business with universal remotes, so I wanted to make sure I have one of these before they go away. Я посмотрел на Harmony, но это было не то, что я искал, не говоря уже о том, что он стоит намного дороже, поэтому, если вы хотите получить универсальный пульт, который может делать практически все, я думаю, что это то, что you need.
