Good remote control, but it took a long time to program.

I've had this remote for a long time and to be honest it took me a while to program it the way I wanted it. I control my TV, cable box, surround sound system, DVD player and Revain Firestick. It would be easier to program with a computer interface and at first I found programming with the buttons a little clunky, but once I learned how it became less of a problem. Now that everything is programmed, the remote control is easy to use and works well.

Yes! Thanks very much! on remote control

Thank you URC! Someone finally figured it out. A remote control that does what a remote control is supposed to do, WORKS! I've tried several other popular remotes including the Harmony, they just didn't work. Their customer service was just as bad as their remotes. Sent them back for a refund. I have a fairly large home theater consisting of a projector, a couple of TVs, and a couple of Blu-ray players. This part handles the whole setup with ease, many of the macros work well. It's a high-end…

Very bad design; very inconvenient to use the controls.

I've been using the MX-450 for six days now. THREE BIG FAULTS: (1) The central part of the remote control with the "SEL" button in the middle is surrounded by a circular ring that rotates to move the cursor up and down, left and right on the TV screen. This ring is too narrow to be easily manoeuvred, e.g. B. to enter letters one by one for a movie title on Netflix, Revain Prime, etc. Attempting to press the ring too lightly will inadvertently hit MENU, MANUAL, "EXIT" OR "INFO" surrounding the…

Let me first say this is my first universal remote ever so I was very nervous about this purchase especially when reading reviews and read tutorials about how difficult programming can be. BUT, we've had a home theater for 2 years now and I'm so tired of juggling 5 different remotes. After spending an hour reading online reviews, forums and all the guides I could find, it took me about 4 hours to turn on 3 devices (denon receiver, directv and epson projector) and 2 macros (turn everything on…

Better than Harmony

I originally had a Logitech Harmony One remote for about a year and was quite happy with it. It literally fell 2 1/2 feet to the carpet and the screen shattered (see photos above) and I was very angry. After I got over that, I looked for a new remote control, but I needed a more customized one. I decided to try the Harmony Touch (the latest model) and I absolutely hated it! I returned this remote a day later and am still looking for the remote. After that one of my friends recommended urc mx450

Excellent universal remote control

Very good universal remote control. I've owned a URC R50 twice, which is essentially identical to the MX-450. The only real differences are the fact that you can download your configuration to the PC once setup is complete (which you can't do on the R50) and pressing the buttons requires a bit more force and there's an audible click as opposed to the buttons . 50 R. On-screen graphics are also slightly better, and the color scheme on the remote itself is all black. Yes, it also controls some…

Great remote control! But what is a macro?

great remote control. Pair it with the MRF-260 base station (see my review) and you have the most affordable radio control system on the market. The only complaint I've ever had with the remote is that you can't learn commands for the hardware buttons. I understand that this sets the next model apart, but nothing is without criticism. The instructions are not user friendly in the sense that all they say are buttons inserted in batteries and a software remote control and then phew! Here's a…
