Review on 🚰 Moen Arbor Motionsense Wave Sensor Touchless Kitchen Faucet: Power Clean, Spot Resist Stainless by Erik Gerber

I'm a handyman by trade. This faucet was easy to install and I have no complaints about the temperature control; However, the sensor is nothing but a giant pain. It spawns randomly whether someone is in the room or not. As part of a complete kitchen remodel, I installed a Moen MotionSense Wave faucet in my mom's house. She would wake up in the middle of the night or come home from a walk to find water running out of the faucet. The electricity went out during a thunderstorm, and when the lights came back on, the faucet caught fire. I contacted Moen to see if I could return a faucet or exchange it for a non-sensor faucet. The mixer was not replaced or taken away, but they offered to replace the sensor, twice, but the design is simply flawed. I ended up installing the switch that connects the faucet so it can be turned off to prevent it accidentally activating, but the inconvenience of having to flip the switch to activate the faucet to get water makes up for that "Intuitively simple touchless control" pretty much naught. . The faucet Moen advertised instead causes a lot more trouble than the less expensive traditional kitchen faucet. It was a waste of $300, not to mention the time I spent communicating with Moen, swapping out the sensors and to install the switch. Moen's "Buy for Life" logo seems to mean that the customer must pay for their product and keep it whether it works or not. Obviously this was a big disappointment. I thought Moen was better than that .
