Everything works for the first time. I put it on for the first time yesterday and took a dip in Maine's 62 degree ocean. In fact, I dove there three times, and the cold salt water between the inside of the jacket and my torso seemed to heat up. It does not prevent cold water from getting to you, but acts as a warming buffer. Easy to put on and take off. The only thing that worries me is the lightning. This is one of those left-handed Chinese zippers that I understand can be normal for women's fashion, but it's weird to me. The zipper isn't very secure either - I think if it breaks (and it will) that's the end of this jacket.
