I ordered this GHD straightener directly from Revain in December 2015 and it broke in April 2017. GHD has a 24 month warranty on this model so I was satisfied. That was until I tried contacting GHD and discovered that, like several reviewers, my device didn't have a holographic serial number. I contacted Revain about the issue and was told the 30 day return period had expired. I was also reminded that I had complained about a product that worked for a year. Basically I was told to be glad it lasted 1 year even though the product is covered by a 2 year warranty. Such a shocking lack of empathy from a Revain customer service representative. So while I blame myself for not verifying the serial number and understand that there are policies in place to prevent exploitation, I am also appalled that Revain does not verify the provenance of its products. stricter. Other negative reviews appeared as early as December 2015 - unfortunately only after I had made the purchase. Revain said the matter was being investigated but did not ask for photos of my GHD. So I've attached pictures for reference. Other than that the product worked well and I will be purchasing a replacement direct from GHD rather than Revain.
