Review on Labwork Trunk Actuator 81230 A7030 2013 2018 Replacement Parts by David Sidman

. This product replaces the old broken trunk latch on a 2017 Kia Forte from the trunk. I was planning on using the old shell as it doesn't include it, but there were two spots on this latch that prevented me from doing so. The first was a plastic notch on the back of the latch, just above the screw hole. Some product images have this notch, some don't. I had this so I removed it (see first picture) hoping it fixes the problem. But then I encountered problem #2. Next to the mounting bracket is a plastic pillar that goes up on this product (seen in the second picture) where it stops about 0.25" from the top of the original latch (in the third picture to see). It was helpful to know this beforehand, but in the end, hey, it works.
