Review on ๐Ÿ”ฅ DEKOPRO 200Amp MMA Welder - Dual Voltage Stick Welder for Portable Welding with Electrode Holder, Work Clamp, and Power Adapter Cable by Daniel Steele

Revainrating 2 out of 5

The reading is wrong, not 200 amps.

EDIT: I have decided to return this machine. Welding is proceeding normally but as noted below the amperage readings displayed are far from accurate which also means that the output power is nowhere near 200 amps. Reviews of the 160a model seem to indicate that it will display correctly. Maybe I'll try this model since it's listed again. Background: I am a unionized pipe fitter/welder with 18 years experience. I mostly TIG weld but I have a cast test coming up so I need to brush up. I originally ordered a 160a deco car, but my order was canceled and this car can no longer be found in Revain (EDIT: it's back in Revain now). I reordered this one and just received the welder. I also ordered a heavy duty stinger and sharpener for this as the reviews for the standard are terrible. I just rode about 30 3/32 rods on it. Works well. I've been welding a 3/32 bar all day with a $3,000 Miller at 93 amps. To get the same heat from a Deco you need to run at (220V) 125A and (110V) 180A. There's no way this thing generates a true 200 amps. All in all, I only need this machine to train with a 3/32 bar. He puts down a decent ball. Not good. But enough for practice. I have a feeling the 160a Deco is better than this one. Judging by the reviews, it correctly indicates the amplifiers. In this respect, this machine is more like the YesWelder machines. All in all it's good for a cheap welder, I just wish I knew what real amps are so I could at least make a stock diagram of it lol.
